Lure Rigging
Single Hook twisted nylon stiff rig, with clear heat shrink on Momoi leader, 300lb or 400lb, hook options BKK Makaira coated steel hook or VMC 8700 Stainless Steel hook.
Please advise – choice of hook, leader weight and length.
We recommend BKK Makaira hooks and 400lb leader for marlin fishing and VMC stainless and 300lb leader for tuna fishing, but you are welcome to specify a different combination of your choice.
Standard leader lengths:
- With 6m wind-ons: 2.9m
- Without wind-ons: 7.5 – 8m
IGFA maximum leader length (including wind-on, leader, connections & hook) is 9.14m.
